Who We Are

Touch the Earth Farm is a small, family-run farm on a rolling five and a quarter acres in the fertile Great Valley region of Maryland.

We became interested in sustainable agriculture and producing our own food because we wanted to care for the environment while eating the best food possible, and, of course, we wanted to nourish our three young children with whole, natural foods free of chemicals, dyes, and preservatives.

It wasn't long before we found ourselves producing more food than our family could eat or put away for the winter months, so sharing our bounty with others seemed a natural extension of our values. With that, Touch the Earth Farm was born, and we joined the growing number of small, local farms forming a community of local, cooperative, and sustainable agriculture.

Our goals are simple: to produce wholesome food sustainably; to nourish ourselves, our community, and our planet; to help preserve biodiversity; and to raise our animals naturally and humanely.

We approach farming in the same way we approach life and parenting—with mindfulness, compassion, and respect. We are proud of the life we are forging together with our children, and we feel abundantly blessed to enjoy such a close relationship with the earth. Our hope is to pass along some of this fortune to others.

Buying from Touch the Earth Farm, you can be confident that you're getting whole, natural foods free of synthetic chemicals, pesticides, and preservatives.

You can be confident that the meat you buy has been raised naturally and compassionately with free access to open pastures, clean and spacious living conditions, and without the use of antibiotics, hormones, growth stimulants, animal by-products, or genetically modified feed.

You can be confident that we conscientiously manage and protect our land through careful rotation, maintaining the health of the soil and flora while protecting the earth and her waterways.

You can be confident that we serve the same wholesome, natural foods to our customers that we serve to our own children.
